Valk book scanner

Background

On request by a digitizing company Valk Engineering has designed and built a scanner to digitize old archives. For example old (and very fragile) archives up to A0 format.

Using pneumatics the machine is able to detect and automatically pick and turn single pages and apply just the right amount of pressure to keep both sides of the book at their correct respective height and straight to the glass.
